I love to visit our local produce stands this time of year.
Morgan's have the very best. Looks to me like I am ready to make
some stuffed peppers and homemade salsa.

You can buy kits to do this at home, give it a try if there's not a garden near by.
If you look closely toward the center you will see strawberries.
Homemade Salsa
Dice about 3 / 4 cup of onion and 3 to 4 garlic cloves. Pour boiling water over this, and let set about 2 minutes to soften and remove any over powering flavor from the onion then drain. Put in a medium bowl. Dice 3 to 4 large tomatoes, about 4 cups, saving juice, and 1 to 2 small Jalapenos, with seeds removed and add to the onion and garlic. Take about 1/2 cup of fresh chopped Cilantro, removing some of the stems, and add to your bowl. Stir well and add fresh lime juice. I like to whirl everthing in the blender or food processer for 15 seconds. Sometimes I add diced canned green chilies. Cover and chill about 2 hours, if it lasts that long.

Who says you can't have fresh crisp lettuce in winter.
The kids will love their salad if they do the pick'in.
