Ruskin on the Manatee

Early one frosty morn on the Little Manatee River,

Looking at what a freeze does in January 2010.

Same place, May 1st 2010.

This is the old Confederate Jasmine.  Truly tenacious.
Beautiful in April.

Gazing up to see  bright yellow Trumpet Vines
hanging from branches of various trees.
Passiflora

Looking down beautiful lanes and yards of Pink Azaleas.

Giant Pothos that cling to the old Oaks.

Looking out on beautiful fields of Snapdragons on a strawberry farm.

Driving by quiet docks that line the inlets.

Along 674 with beautiful Red Maples.

Beautiful yards with Azalea's and palms.

Wildlife all year long is always a delight.
I snapped this picture in March of a crane.

Lime green foliage on our Oaks in April.

 Native Palmettos that grow everywhere.

The Best .

Where the Eagles fly,
or in this case where they are more interested in
eating their catch, than watching me.

And over the Little Manatee.

To where this  finger of the Little Manatee ends.

I find myself at the old boat ramp in the Park south of town.

I think this little Dove was as content as I was
to look out over the sparkling water.
See ya later.
